John and I have been married for almost two years!! So crazy that it has been that long already. John recently turned 22 on the 18th and can now say that he is older than me. I don't turn 22 till Feb. 18th. We both come from pretty big families. If you include both sides we have sixteen nieces and nephews with number seventeen on the way.
A little bit about us...
John loves being outdoors, and we both love hanging out with our families. I am currently in the Young Women's program, and he is a blazer leader. We are going to Rome for Spring Break, which I am super stoked about!!!
OUR NEW YEAR'S Resolution:
We are doing an at home fitness program called P90X (X is for extreme lol). John's goal is to get back into the same shape he was in while in basic training. My goal is to get back to my high school weight.
Our other goals are to be more adventurous and try to go more places. We are going to try taking weekend vacations. This process entails going to destinations that are within driving distance from Tulsa Oklahoma.
REFLECTIONS OF THE PAST YEAR:
For our first year of marriage we experienced some heartaches that most people don't. Seven months after we were married John's great uncle pasted away from Pancreatic Cancer. This was very hard for John because he Glenn was like John's Grandpa. Then in March I lost my mother very unexpectedly. It has been an agnonizing process to go through as young as I am and with sisters still in high school. I wouldn't have asked to go through that with anyone else but John. We have been each other's rocks and have a firm foundation in our marriage. This past year would have been much more difficult if I hadn't had him by my side the entire time. I am so grateful to have the gospel in our lives and know that I will be will my love and soul mate forever.
So this year we are starting off with a postive attitude, and we will face anything that comes our way together side by side as best friends and companions for all eternity.
So this is the beginning of a new journey......
