Valentine's Day Weekend
So since Valentine's Day was on a Sunday this year, John and I celebrated on Friday, Saturday and Monday!
FRIDAY: I made funfetti cupcakes with chocolate icing and chocolate cupcakes with vanilla icing for work! John sent me the most beautiful flowers at work. He knows my favorite are daises and roses. He got creative and told the florist only four roses. He later told me the four roses were for all the Valentines we have spent together. While I thought that this was incredibly sweet one of the Resident doctors in our clinic (who gives me a hard time daily) said and I quote, "Oh Sarah he's a guy. He wants you think he's being romantic when in actuality it's cheaper to only buy four roses instead of a dozen." This comment came from the guy who hadn't gotten his girlfriend flowers yet because "they die anyway" Haha. I thought my flowers were wonderful despite the comments :)
SATURDAY: Saturday started with a lazy day of sleeping in!! Then we went to Owasso for John's baby sister's last basketball game of the season. It was an intense game!! At one point I think I may have said the ref needed new glasses because he couldn't see. I'm not normally so outspoken toward the refs but even John the calm one in our relationship got so ticked he stood up and yelled. I in turn had to pull him back to his seat hehehe. After the game we went on a date. The date consisted of walking around the mall, dinner and a movie. John suprised me with a visit to the fossil store where my valentine's gift was a new watch!! Then we went and saw the movie Valentine's Day (which was cute in my opinion). John of course refused to let me get him anything for Vday.
Before our date we went home to change and visited with my oldest sister Steph and her husband Chris, who were babysitting my other sister, Nat, children. Well all of John's army equipment was in the living room still from drill. Chris seeing all the equipment of course couldn't resist putting it on. I might add that John is like a head or so taller than Chris so John's stuff was a little big. Abby (the newest baby in the fam) and I were so tuckered out from watching we had to take a nap. Needless to say there are some great pics from John and Chris' adventure!!
MONDAY:I had the day off from work since it was President's Day which was awesome!! We slept in and I snuck off to the mall to get John a gift. He had pointed out a couple of shirts he liked in the fossil store so that's what he got for his Vday gift.
All in all it was a great weekend and I had alot of fun spending so much time with John and playing with all my nieces and nephews!!!
